Out of my mind

Another one I did today. I haven't been doing anything but portraits lately and I felt like doing something else.

This is about one of James Blunt's songs, "Out of my mind". [link] One of the best ones he wrote, if you ask me. My favourite part is this one:

It's touching that the monkey sits on my shoulder.
He's waiting for the day when he gets me,
But I don't need no alibi - I'm a puppet on a string.

And you see, the picture is about that part exactly. I'm not trying to be smart or anything, I just [need this stage to be seen XD] drew it... Though since he's a puppet, I've had this idea of the monkey being bigger than himself.

The crown of the monkey is the same crown like the monkey on the cd cover "Back to Bedlam" wears.
The monkey is a squirrel monkey since those are the only ones I like.
The puppet, well, this one scene from the film "Being John Malkovich" helped me a lot. Craig is a sick man, but when he's playing with his puppets, it turns out good sometimes.
